Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 12 oz lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite or 7UP)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Separate crescent dough into triangles.
- Place several apple slices on the wide end of each triangle and roll up.
- Arrange the rolled dumplings in the baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Heat until combined.
- Pour the butter mixture evenly over the dumplings.
- Carefully pour the soda around the edges of the pan (do not stir).
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Optional Glaze
Mix:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
Drizzle over the warm dumplings before serving.
