Mediterranean Baked Pears with Honey, Fresh Berries, Walnuts & Feta Crumble
⭐ Ingredients (Serves 4)
2 large ripe pears (Bosc or Bartlett), halved & cored

2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

3–4 tbsp honey

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

¼ cup walnuts, roughly chopped

¼ cup fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries chopped)

¼ cup feta cheese, crumbled

Pinch of sea salt

Fresh mint for garnish (optional)

A squeeze of lemon juice (to keep pears fresh)

🧈 Instructions

  1. Prep the Pears
    Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Cut pears in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds.

Brush cut sides with a little lemon juice.

Place pears cut-side up in a baking dish.

  1. Season and Bake
Drizzle pears with olive oil or melted butter.

Add honey on top.

Sprinkle with cinnamon + a tiny pinch of salt.

Bake for 25–35 minutes, until the pears are soft and caramelized.

  1. Prepare the Toppings
Mix the berries + walnuts in a bowl.

Set aside the feta for crumbling at the end.

  1. Assemble
Remove warm pears from the oven.

Fill the hollowed centers with berries + walnuts mixture.

Crumble feta generously on top.

Drizzle a little extra honey over everything.

  1. Serve
    Garnish with fresh mint.

Serve warm — it tastes amazing with vanilla yogurt or a dollop of Greek yogurt.

🍽 Q & A
Q: Can I make this ahead?
A: Yes! Bake the pears, store without toppings, and add berries/walnuts/feta before serving.

Q: What other nuts can I use?
A: Pecans, pistachios, almonds, or hazelnuts all work perfectly.

Q: Can I make it sugar-free?
A: Replace honey with sugar-free maple syrup or monk fruit syrup.

Q: What pears work best?
A: Bosc pears hold shape best; Bartletts bake softer and sweeter.

Q: Is the feta necessary?
A: It brings a salty Mediterranean balance—highly recommended! But you can use ricotta, mascarpone, or goat cheese instead.
