Total Time: 35 minutes
Ingredients
The Bread Base
- 1 large soft Italian loaf, French boule, or soft sourdough loaf
Sweet Cream Cheese Filling
- 200g cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk
- 2 tbsp sugar or powdered sugar
Mix until smooth and creamy.
Garlic-Herb Butter Custard
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tbsp fresh garlic, finely minced
- 1 large egg
- 1½ tbsp sweetened condensed milk or honey
- 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- Pinch of salt
Optional Topping
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan or mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Slice the Bread
Using a serrated knife, cut the loaf diagonally into thick sections without slicing all the way through the bottom.
This keeps the bread connected for that beautiful pull-apart style.
Fill with Cream Cheese
Pipe or spread the sweet cream cheese mixture generously inside each bread slit.
Make sure every cut is filled for that rich creamy center.
Prepare the Garlic Custard
In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic, egg, condensed milk, parsley, and salt until fully combined.
Brush the mixture generously into every slit and all over the bread until fully coated.
Bake Until Golden
Place the loaf onto parchment paper in a baking dish.
Sprinkle lightly with parmesan or mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 13–15 minutes until golden brown, crispy on the outside, and soft inside.
Serve
Serve hot while the cream cheese is soft, melty, and absolutely irresistible 😍🔥
