Instructions

  1. Preheat & prep
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) (or 320°F fan). Lightly spray a loaf tin with cooking oil.
  2. Mix the batter
    In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, peanut butter, eggs, and baking powder. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Fold in nuts
    Gently fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans.
  4. Transfer to pan
    Pour the batter into the prepared loaf tin and smooth the top.
  5. Add chocolate & bake
    Sprinkle chopped dark chocolate evenly over the top.
    Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until set in the center. Tip: If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
  6. Cool & slice
    Let the bread cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
