Instructions
Prepare the Beef Patty
Shape the ground beef into square or rectangular patties to match the bread shape. Season with salt and black pepper.
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and sear the patties until cooked to your preferred doneness. Set aside.
Toast the Bread
Butter the outside of each bread slice generously.
Place on a grill pan or panini press and cook until golden brown with dark caramelized grill marks.
Assemble the Sandwich
While the bread is still warm:
Layer cheese first, then the beef patty, followed by another layer of cheese.
Add tomato slices and a handful of fresh greens.
Top with the second bread slice.
Finish & Melt
Press the sandwich gently with a spatula or panini press until the cheese melts beautifully and the bread becomes crispy and golden.
Serve
Serve hot with fries, chips, or a fresh salad ๐๐ฅ
Additional Notes
Perfect Melt Tip ๐ง
Using cheese on both sides of the beef creates that rich cafรฉ-style cheesy pull.
Bread Matters โจ
Thick sourdough gives the sandwich a premium crunchy texture and holds everything together perfectly.
