Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven
    Set oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the eggs
    Put egg whites in one bowl and yolks in another.
  3. Mix yolks and cream cheese
    Beat together until completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Whip egg whites
    Add cream of tartar and salt to the whites. Beat with a mixer until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold gently
    Carefully fold the yolk mixture into the egg whites a little at a time. Do not overmix — you want the batter fluffy.
  6. Shape the bread
    Spoon mixture into 6–8 rounds on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake
    Bake 25–30 minutes until golden brown on top.
  8. Cool completely
    Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the tray.
