Ingredients
- 1 bunch fresh asparagus (woody ends trimmed)
- 8 rashers smoked back bacon (halved lengthwise) or streaky bacon
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Cracked black pepper
- Pinch of garlic powder
Instructions
Preheat the oven
Set your oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF / Gas Mark 6).
Bundle the asparagus
Group 3โ4 asparagus spears together to form small bundles.
Wrap with bacon
Take a slice of bacon and wrap it tightly around the middle of each bundle.
Season lightly
Place bundles on a baking tray. Brush the exposed asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper and a pinch of garlic powder.
Roast to perfection
Bake for 12โ15 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender-crisp.
