Ingredients
Chicken
- 2 large chicken breasts, sliced in half horizontally or pounded thin
- ยฝ teaspoon salt
- ยฝ teaspoon black pepper
- ยฝ cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for low-carb)
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- ยพ cup panko breadcrumbs
- ยฝ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 3 tablespoons olive oil or butter
Cream Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ยฝ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ยฝ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ยผ teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Optional: pinch red pepper flakes
Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
Pat chicken dry with paper towels.
Season both sides with salt and pepper.
If the chicken breasts are thick, butterfly or pound them to about ยฝ-inch thickness so they cook evenly.
Step 2: Set Up the Breading Station
Prepare 3 shallow bowls:
- Flour
- Beaten eggs
- Mix together:
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Parmesan cheese
- Garlic powder
- Italian seasoning
Step 3: Bread the Chicken
Coat each chicken piece in flour and shake off excess.
Dip into beaten eggs.
Press into the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
Step 4: Cook the Chicken
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook chicken for 4โ5 minutes per side until:
- Golden brown
- Crispy
- Internal temperature reaches 75ยฐC / 165ยฐF
Transfer cooked chicken to a plate lined with paper towels.
Step 5: Make the Cream Sauce
Reduce heat to low-medium.
In the same skillet:
- Melt butter
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant
- Pour in heavy cream
- Simmer for 2โ3 minutes
Whisk in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, pepper, and a pinch of salt.
Cook until smooth and creamy.
If sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of milk or chicken broth.
Step 6: Serve
Place crispy chicken on plates and spoon warm cream sauce over the top.
