Ingredients
For the Bagels
- 1½ cups almond flour
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
For the Topping
- 1–2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Make the dough
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine:
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cream cheese
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth (about 1–1½ minutes).
Let the mixture cool slightly.
In a separate bowl, whisk:
- Almond flour
- Baking powder
- Garlic powder
- Salt
Add the eggs to the melted cheese mixture and stir until combined.
Add the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
3. Shape the bagels
Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
Roll each portion into a ball and then shape each into a bagel by poking a hole in the center with your finger and stretching it to form a ring.
4. Bake
Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet.
If using the egg wash, brush each bagel with a beaten egg.
Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
5. Serve
Let the bagels cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with cream cheese, butter, or any topping of your choice.
